Michael Stirling is the CEO and Chairman of Stirling Infrastructure’s Investment Board. Michael advises project sponsors, listed companies and asset managers. His experience includes advising on large and complex transactions and raising capital from a diverse range of institutional and strategic investors. The firm has expertise in both M&A and advising on co-investments. Michael heads the review of investment opportunities and has oversight over a team of experts in the sectors that Stirling Infrastructure covers, which includes energy, infrastructure, real estate, advanced technologies, and other sectors the firm specialises in.

Michael has trusted relationships with institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds. He has advised the Milken Institute and was elected into the Institute of Directors Economics and Taxation committee. Michael is an experienced speaker and has been invited to speak at industry-leading events internationally on the financing of energy, infrastructure and advanced technologies. He has a special interest in responsible and sustainable investments. Michael is also a qualified lawyer and has previously worked at an international law firm, a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, and a private equity firm. Michael’s economic, financial and regulatory analysis has been featured in business publications, which includes the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and the Economist. Michael has also been invited as a keynote speaker at London Business School (LBS), Bocconi and other leading international business schools. Michael has also advised a number of Champions League football clubs on raising capital.
