Michael Stirling is the CEO and Chairman of Stirling Infrastructure’s Investment Board. Michael advises project sponsors, listed companies, asset managers and government entities on M&A transactions and has raised capital for large and complex infrastructure and energy projects internationally from a diverse range of capital. He leads a team of experts in the sectors that Stirling Infrastructure covers, which includes infrastructure, energy, real estate, technology, and asset financing.

Michael has established relationships with government entities, think tanks, and institutional investors in the sectors in which the firm offers professional services. He has worked for the Milken Institute and the Institute of Directors. Michael has spoken on the financing of energy and infrastructure projects at international investor forums including the Co-investment Roundtable of Sovereign and Pension Funds (CROSAPF), WSJ CEO Council, Gastech, S&P Global Platts and the World Knowledge Forum. Michael is also a qualified lawyer and has previously worked at a leading City of London law firm, a ‘Big Four’ accounting firm, and at a private equity firm. Michael’s business analysis is regularly featured in business publications, which includes The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Economist and other leading business journals. Michael has been retained by a number of Champions League football clubs on raising finance.

As the CEO and chairman of Stirling Infrastructure, Michael heads the review of investment opportunities and leads the team of sector experts at the firm to add value to transactions and businesses. With a keen interest in sustainable development, he has worked hard to establish Stirling Infrastructure as a firm that highly regards environmentally conscious and innovative investments.
