Gilles Normand
Head of Mobility and Automation
Gilles Normand, based in Paris, is the Head of Mobility and Automation, with over 35 years of international experience in the automotive sector, including a decade focused on Electric Vehicles and New Mobilities.
In 2022, he joined ProLogium, a leading developer of next-generation solid-state batteries, where he played a pivotal role in securing the largest-ever industrial support from the French Government and the European Union for a battery project in Dunkirk, France.
Previously, Gilles held senior executive positions across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. He began his career at Renault Group, later joining Nissan in 1999 to contribute to the Nissan Revival Plan. Returning to Renault in 2013, he served as Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Region and, from 2017, led the Electric Vehicle Business Unit, deepening his expertise in EV trends and opportunities.
Gilles is a graduate of EDHEC Business School and completed the International Director Program at INSEAD. He is also a member of the EDHEC Ethics Committee and serves on its Board of Directors.
